The live-action version of Ghost in the Shell will be hitting theaters next month, and the producers have just dropped a new trailer. This one is two minutes long and explores the origins of The Major, played by Scarlett Johansson.
Although it’s only meant to tease and nothing is revealed, there’s a few hints about the character.
Ghost in the Shell is a cyberpunk manga, TV show, and video game franchise that’s been around since the 1980s. The new movie, releasing on Mar. 31, is the first live action movie. The casting has received some criticism of whitewashing, with Scarlett Johansson playing what should be an Asian character (known as Motoko Kusanagai).
