Supernatural creator Eric Kripke won’t be coming back to the show, but Misha Collins was the first one the producer thought of to play Eliot Ness, according to Variety.
Collins will be guest starring in an upcoming episode of NBC drama Timeless, which airs Feb. 13.
The episode follows Flynn (Goran Višnjić) as he goes back in time to Chicago in 1931 to meet with Al Capone, played by Cameron Gharaee. Main characters played by Abigail Spencer, Matt Lanter and Malcolm Barrett go back in time to join forces with the infamous Untouchable, Eliot Ness, played by Collins.
Speaking with Variety, Kripke said:
“When the Eliot Ness character first came up, I immediately thought of Misha, and I’m so thrilled to be working with him again. Misha brings his charisma, his talent — and frankly, all of his angelic qualities to the role.”
Collins posted to Twitter about his one-time spot on Timeless, sharing of pic of himself in his G-man suit and his colleagues.
“I worried the cast of @NBCTimeless might treat me as an Untouchable, but they gave me a warm reception. Thanks, guys. #Timeless @therealkripke”
